At Lily Pads, our number one priority is the safety of your children.

  • Our center is secured with pin code lock

  • We have multiple emergency exits, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers 

  • Emergency evacuation plan posted in each classrooms with regularly emergency drills conducted

  • We use safety gates and capped electrical outlets throughout the center

  • Outdoor areas are wrapped in a secure metal fencing with tne whole playground lined with soft landing surface for safe fall if your child takes a tumble

  • Daily cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting of each classroom's furniture, toys, utensils, highly contacted area, hard surfaces and more

  • Weekend deep cleaning and disinfecting of the center  

  • We conduct criminal background checks to ensure trustworthy staff and passionate teachers provide the best care and education for your child

  • Dedicated, friendly and loving Teachers who are trained in child development, early-childhood education or a related field. They are teachers credentialed in Infants/Toddlers and/or Preschool from Maryland Child Care Credential Program and are trained in First Aid and CPR

  • We use Creative Curriculum and Healthy Beginnings in creating our weekly lesson plans

  • Each child gets a personalized care plan upon joining Lily Pads. We conduct parents conferences to ensure your goals for your child are being achieved

  • Monthly newsletters per classrooms and Observation Report per student on each classrooms

Since we have reopened, we have implemented additional procedures as part of our COVID-19 enhanced health and safety procedures: 

​

  • We installed a germicidal ultraviolet light system for the HVAC system that has 99.9% disinfection rate to help reduce germs in the air and fight against COVID-19

  • Our staff and teachers go through extensive training on health and safety practices we’ve developed to set a new standard in childcare

  • Daily health and temperature screening upon check-in in the morning and throughout the day. 

  • Contact-less check ins and health screening survey

  • No Outdoor Shoes policy to maintain the sanitation in the center.  Only students and teachers can enter the center.

  • We monitor symptoms during the course of each day with us. We notify parents when a child does not feel well to help prevent an illness from spreading

  • Frequent hand washing routines for everyone upon entering the center and throughout the day

  • Hand sanitizers are provided for adults only and posters for teaching and reminding respiratory etiquette are posted throughout the center for staff, teachers and children

  • Staff and teachers are provided with medical apron and mask. 

  • Our center is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized multiple times a day, with a deeper disinfecting routines at closing

  • All used toys are separated and sanitized in between uses and again, at the end of the day. This includes outdoor toys and the playground.
